Voting for the Readers’ Choice Awards for PR blogs is underway and I’d like to encourage you to vote for two reasons.
1. There are 20 great blogs nominated across four different categories, all of which deserve to be in your RSS reader. So it’s a great opportunity for you to discover some new blog talent you may not already know.
2. This blog was nominated for “PR Blog of the Year.” If you enjoy reading and conversing here, I’d be honored if you’d consider voting for “Communications Catalyst.”
Click the “vote” button below to go directly to the voting page. It will take only 30 seconds out of your day!
Lastly, these awards are the brainchild of Arik Hanson, a savvy PR pro who shares his insights freely. And he’s an all-around nice guy. You can get direct links to each of the awards nominees’ blogs from this post on Arik’s blog, as well as learn more about Arik here. I’m a regular reader and enjoy his posts.
Feel free to pass along this post or a direct link to the poll to your fellow PR colleagues, friends and Twitter peeps so they can vote, too.

David spends his days focused on marketing communications strategies and execution. He blogs here regularly about integrated communications, PR and social media.

Your point #1 above nails it. The win here is we all now have a number of new great blogs to follow. While I certainly wouldn’t consider these 20 a de facto list of the best PR blogs (missing some great ones like Viral Garden, Flacker and Beth Harte’s blog, for openers), but it is a fantastic start. Fleet, Defren, Brown, Paul…it’s like a murderer’s row of PR blogs.
Thanks for the kind works, David. You know how much I appreciate your support and guidance. Good luck in the voting!
@arikhanson
Agreed. I was aware of most, but got turned on to a few more.
And I don’t care what Mr. Brown says in the next comment. Fleet, Defren, Brown and Paul *is* a murderer’s row of PR blogs!
I’m just glad I’m not up against you, good sir. Then again, you’d get my vote on any list
And yes, as both you and Arik mention, we all win – there are a couple of blogs I wasn’t aware of, but that was remedied fast.
Not sure about the “murderer’s row”, mind you, Mr Hanson…
Danny – see above reply to Arik. You’re being humble. Fleet, Defren, you and Paul is a killer line up, my friend.
Definitely an honor to be in such a fine company of bloggers. Loving the new look btw David.
Same here! Thanks, too, for the new look comment. Still tweaking, but I’m liking it so far.
PS – noticed you’re now running Thesis. Nice.
